Artist Statement:
Remembrances are difficult to capture and even more difficult to share with others. My work attempts to capture the atmosphere of memories and how the viewer felt living in that moment.
A damp collegiate autumn corner that has met the footsteps of many generations
The lush reprieve of June rains that blooms the greenery around the pueblos in the southwest
Morning light that ushers away last night’s storms and alights the path for a new beginning
The tension of the penultimate move between rival sportsmen and warring countries
About the Artist
The artist studied Electrical Engineering and Russian Language & Literature, where the desert sun and winter chill kept her lips chapped year-round.
Despite a compulsive need to meticulously write unnecessarily long, detailed descriptions to capture a simple moment in time, the artist finds it is better to express her stories and feelings through artwork - the only way she knows how to be concise.
